On June 1, 2026, the Yeabu London Charity Foundation, through its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Momoh Deen Conteh, made a significant donation of essential items worth thousands of dollars to the Department of Fashion and Design at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), Magburaka Campus. The gesture is aimed at strengthening teaching and learning processes while expanding hands-on practical training opportunities for students pursuing careers in fashion and design.

The donation forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to advancing education, skills development, and youth empowerment across Sierra Leone. By investing in practical learning resources, the Yeabu London Charity Foundation seeks to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world creative industry practice, ensuring that students are better prepared for professional opportunities after graduation.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Momoh Deen Conteh reaffirmed that supporting educational institutions remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of the Foundation’s work. He emphasized that empowering young people with the right tools and learning environment is central to the Foundation’s long-term vision of community transformation through education and skills development.
The donation was warmly received by the university community, who described it as both timely and impactful. The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of EBKUST, Rev. Professor Edwin J.J. Momoh, together with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Magburaka Campus, Rev. Prof. Enoch Terlumun Iortyom, expressed deep appreciation for the Yeabu London Charity Foundation’s continued support to higher education. They noted that the contribution will greatly enhance the capacity of the Department of Fashion and Design and improve the quality of practical training available to students.

Students and staff of the department also welcomed the intervention with excitement, describing it as a motivating boost that will strengthen creativity, innovation, and confidence among learners. For many, the donation represents more than just materials—it is a symbol of hope, opportunity, and belief in their potential.
The Yeabu London Charity Foundation continues to position itself as a strong advocate for education and youth development, investing in initiatives that directly impact learning environments and empower the next generation of skilled professionals in Sierra Leone.
