In the heart of Magburaka, Tonkolili District, a quiet revolution is taking placeone driven by knowledge, hope, and the transformative power of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
At the YEABU London ICT Lab, the ongoing practical examinations mark a significant milestone in a journey that began months ago. What started as a vision to empower young people has now become a living testimony of impact, resilience, and growth.

Through months of intensive training, coaching, mentoring, and continuous nurturing, students have been equipped with essential digital skills that are shaping their confidence and preparing them for the future. Today, these young learners are not just sitting for exams they are demonstrating transformation. They are becoming problem-solvers, innovators, and future leaders in a digital world.
This initiative reflects a deeper mission: to bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for school-going pupils and youth across Sierra Leone. ICT is no longer a luxury it is a necessity for development, and the YEABU London ICT Lab is at the forefront of this change.
At the center of this vision is the leadership and passion of the CEO, Mr. Deen, whose commitment continues to inspire both students and the wider community.

“My greatest hope is to see every school-going pupil empowered with ICT knowledge not just to use technology, but to transform their lives, their communities, and their future. Through ICT, we are building a generation that believes in possibilities, innovation, and positive change.”
Mr. Deen, CEO
This message reflects more than words it reflects a mission grounded in faith, belief, and purpose. A belief that with the right guidance and opportunities, every young person can rise beyond limitations.
The story of YEABU London ICT Lab is a story of development in action. It is proof that when education meets opportunity, transformation becomes inevitable. It is about planting seeds of knowledge today that will grow into solutions for tomorrow.

As these students complete their practical examinations, one thing is clear:
the future of ICT in Tonkolili is bright and it has already begun.
This is more than training. This is impact. This is hope. This is transformation.
