Recognition highlights years of grassroots service and community leadership in Magburaka and across Tonkolili District.
An honorary award has been presented to Deen Conteh, Chief Executive Officer of the Yeabu London Charity Foundation, by the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology in recognition of his humanitarian service and sustained community leadership in Tonkolili District.
The award acknowledges Conteh’s long-standing charitable interventions and social support initiatives, particularly within the township of Magburaka, where his foundation has been active in community-focused outreach and welfare efforts.
According to university representatives, the honor was conferred to recognize what they described as “consistent humanitarian action and people-centered leadership” demonstrated over several years. The institution noted that Conteh’s work reflects a practical model of service-driven leadership, combining philanthropy with direct community engagement.
Through the Yeabu London Charity Foundation, Conteh has supported vulnerable groups and contributed to local development efforts, earning him a reputation among residents and stakeholders as a responsive and dependable community partner.
