Magburaka, Tonkolili District Yeabu London Pharmaceutical SL Limited has officially unveiled a newly renovated and upgraded pharmacy facility in Magburaka, marking a significant milestone in the improvement of healthcare delivery across Tonkolili District and the wider Northern Region.
The facelift, which includes upgraded storage systems, improved customer service areas, and enhanced drug-handling standards, comes alongside the importation of essential and specialised medicines from the United Kingdom. The facility now stocks a wider range of drugs for the treatment of multiple and complex illnesses commonly affecting African communities, including chronic and multi-treatable conditions.
At the centre of this transformation is the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Momoh Deen Conteh, whose vision has been to bridge the gap between global pharmaceutical standards and local healthcare needs. According to health workers and community members, the upgraded pharmacy has improved access to quality-assured medications that were previously scarce or unavailable in the district.
Beyond infrastructure, the expansion has created new employment opportunities for pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and support staff contributing to local economic growth while strengthening the healthcare workforce.
