The Yeabu London Charity Foundation is a community-driven humanitarian organization established in 2021 in Magburaka, Tonkolili District, Northern Sierra Leone. Founded by Mr. Momoh Deen Conteh, a Sierra Leonean philanthropist born in Magburaka and based in London, the Foundation was created to support vulnerable and underserved populations, particularly those living in extreme poverty.

The Foundation began its work through the establishment of Yeabu London Pharmaceutical, a purpose-driven community pharmacy located at 10 Hospital Road, Magburaka. Through this initiative, the Foundation provides high-quality medical services and essential medicines at highly subsidized or no cost, ensuring equitable access to healthcare for all communities. In recognition of its standards, affordability, and service delivery, the pharmacy was accredited by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as the Best Pharmacy in Northern Sierra Leone.

Beyond healthcare, the Yeabu London Charity Foundation supports education, entrepreneurship, health interventions, and social safety-net programmes across Sierra Leone. Guided by the values of equity, dignity, compassion, and community impact, the Foundation remains committed to strengthening lives, protecting the most vulnerable, and building healthier, more resilient communities.

The CEO visited one of the schools to personally pay school fees and provide support for more than ten school-going pupils. When the pupils saw him, many ran toward him with joy, clearly excited and grateful for his continued support. Their happiness reflected the deep impact of his work and the hope it brings to their lives.

“Education is the strongest bridge between poverty and opportunity. When a child learns, a community rises. Never doubt your potential—because every lesson you embrace brings you one step closer to greatness.”

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Momoh Deen Conteh, Yeabu London Charity Foundation

The Power of Skills: Your Key to a Stronger Future

In today’s world, education alone is no longer enough. While formal schooling provides knowledge, skills are what turn that knowledge into real opportunities. Skills open doors, create jobs, build confidence, and empower young people to become self-reliant and successful. For youth who face financial hardship, lack of opportunities, or limited support, skills are the most powerful tool to change their lives.

Skill learning is not just about getting a job—it is about building a life of independence and purpose. When a young person learns a skill, they gain the power to support themselves, contribute to their family, and build a stronger community. It is the foundation of entrepreneurship, leadership, and sustainable development. In a world where many jobs are uncertain, skill-based learning creates stability, resilience, and the ability to adapt to change.

Why Skills Matter Now More Than Ever

Skills give young people a competitive advantage. They help them stand out, earn income, and build sustainable careers. Skills also create confidence, because when you can produce something valuable with your hands and mind, you feel empowered. Skills help youth to rise above challenges, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their communities.

Yeabu London Charity Foundation: Leading the Change

The Yeabu London Charity Foundation believes in the power of youth. The Foundation has already started supporting young people who cannot afford the cost of skill learning. By providing financial support, training opportunities, and mentorship, the Foundation is creating a new generation of skilled, confident, and independent youth.

The Foundation calls on young people to embrace skill learning and take charge of their future. It also invites partners, donors, and community leaders to join this mission—because when youth are skilled, the entire community rises.
